  • And here are the results of my solar dyeing experiment with dyer's chamomile. After one week in a full sun location, the skeins turned into a vibrant, lovely creamy yellow. I am very happy with the result and will definitely be using dyer's chamomile again very soon. If you want to know more about how I achieved these results, you can have a look at the blogpost here:

  • And this is how the solar dyeing experiment looks like after six days in full sun. You can clearly see that the dyer's chamomile flower heads have given up a lot of color. I am so curious to see how the yarn will look once I take it out of the dye solution.

Tomorrow I will show you how the jar looks after sitting in full sun for six days.

I filled up a glass jar with yarn and dyer's chamomile flower heads. Now all there is left to do is add water and a dissolved mordant. And then patiently wait for a couple of days. I am already looking forward to seeing how the colorway will turn out!
